Saved Positions

Everything you've starred or annotated, gathered in one place and filterable by phase, event, tag, and error size — your personal study set.

The Saved page collects every position you've starred or annotated across your whole library into one study set. Star a blunder during review, jot a note, or add a tag, and it shows up here — your own curated shortlist, separate from the full positions browser.

What lands here

Any position you've marked in any way:

  • starred,
  • given a note, or
  • given one or more custom tags.

Every notebook position lands here too — being pinned in a notebook is being saved, so there's no star on those cards. Your constructed positions sit alongside the ones you've marked during review.

Until you've marked something, the page is empty and points you to the positions browser to start.

Filtering your set

A filter bar narrows the list. The facets are drawn from what's actually in your saved set, so you only ever filter on things you have:

  • Phase — opening, middle game, endgame, race, bear-off (see Game Phases).
  • Event — what happened on the turn (see Events).
  • Tag — your own custom tags.
  • Error size — a minimum equity loss, to focus on the worst decisions.

Sort by error magnitude (worst first) or most recent, and switch the board preview between Initial / Arrows / Result and three card sizes — the same controls as the positions browser.

Each card lets you re-star, edit the note, and edit the tags in place, so the Saved page doubles as where you tidy up your annotations. On a notebook position the note and tags are stored inside the notebook itself, and the star is replaced by Remove from notebook — un-saving it means taking the pin out of its notebook (with a confirmation when notes or tags would be lost). Its "Open in notebook" link jumps straight to that pin on the editor board.
